Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was welcomed Zambian President Edgar Lungu the official ceremony.
President Erdogan arrived at Lusaka Kenneth Kaunda Airport at 12.45pm with his private plane “TUR” following his contacts in South Africa.
Erdogan and his wife, Emine Erdogan, were met by Zambian President Lungu and his wife Esther Lungu on their flights.
After President Erdogan and President Lungu took their places in the ceremony area, the national anthems of the two countries were played in the accompaniment of 21 pare ball guns. After the Erdogan’s ceremony was overhauled, the National Anthem was played once more.
Erdogan and Lungu, who presented the delegations to each other, followed the local dances that the Tiyanjane Cultural Dance Group exhibited for a while.
Welcome to the Zambian Foreign Minister Joseph Malanje, other ministers, Zambia’s Ambassador Joseph Chileng Turkey’s Ambassador Patricia İncesu Lusaka and embassy personnel also took place.
President Erdogan and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu, Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan, AK Party Diyarbakir Deputy Mehdi Eker and MHP Kayseri Deputy İsmail Özdemir also came to Lusaka.
